January 28: Magic & Mystery is an evening of astonishing magic and mind reading by professional magician Mat LaVore at beautiful Omni Atlanta Hotel.
January 28: Watch the eight best marching bands from colleges that are historically black competing in the Battle of the Bands at the Georgia Dome.

January 1-8: Visit the Ice Rink & Holiday in Lights Display with thousands of lights in the north section of Centennial Park. The new Chinese Lantern Festival in the south section of the park is open Dec. 9 to Jan. 15, 2017.
January 1-8: Winter Wonderland celebrates Christmas, Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, and other cultures with bright lights, decorated trees, ornaments, and emblems at Fernbank Museum of Natural History.
January 10- Feb. 19: Play the Play with Cat the Cat– Based on Mo Willems’ beloved CAT the CAT series, this play explores the often terrifying experience of making a new friend. Theatre for the Very Young at the Alliance.
January 12-15: See hundreds of new boats, marine gear, and accessories at the Atlanta Boat Show at Georgia World Congress Center.
January 12- Feb. 12: Winner of “best new play” in London, The Mountaintop is a gripping and poetic drama that imagines the events that might have happened the evening before Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination, at Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville.
January 18- Feb. 12: The upbeat romantic comedy Troubadour is about a young singer and his band finding their way in 1950s Nashville at Alliance Theatre.
January 20-22: Callanwolde Arts Festival features 86 fine artists, demonstrations, live acoustic music, and gourmet food trucks at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center.
January 24- Feb. 15: The Atlanta Jewish Film Festival shows films from around the world that explore themes of Jewish life, culture, and history. Vote for your favorites and see guest filmmakers, actors, authors, and academics. Films that sell out may be repeated on the last day.
January 27-29: Meet RV dealers and manufacturers, and see the latest models of motor homes, fifth wheels, campers, and travel trailers at the Atlanta Camping & RV Show at Atlanta Exposition Center South.

January 27- Feb. 1: A neat freak and a slob become roommates in Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple, a classic comedy about mismatched personalities at Red Clay Music Foundry in Duluth.
January 27- Feb. 19: Death by Design– Set during a weekend in an English country manor in 1932, Death by Design answers the question of what would happen if Noel Coward were to pen an Agatha Christie murder mystery. At Stage Door Players in Dunwoody.
January 28-29: The Great American Motorcycle Show features motorcycles, accessories, and southern rock at Cobb Galleria Centre.
